Copperline

Copperline

An 18,000 sqft retail facade for Joseph Supermarket in Vyasarpadi — a three-storey screen of copper-tone vertical battens whose shifting depth carries a giant JS monogram that reads from across the arterial road. Designed and built by LIBIDES.

Copperline wraps a three-storey retail block in a single gesture: a full-height comb of copper-tone vertical battens, evenly ranked across the street face. The fins are spaced to the proportion of the facade, and their projection shifts subtly from bay to bay so a vast JS monogram and the store’s crowned crest surface out of the rhythm — legible from across the busy Vyasarpadi road, then dissolving back into pure line as you pass.

Material serves that geometry rather than setting it: the warm metal battens, grey ACP reveals and a deep glazed shopfront keep the box quiet by day, while concealed uplighting turns the whole screen to glowing gold at night. LIBIDES designed and executed the facade in-house, completed November 2025 — a landmark delivered, not just drawn.
